The Motability Scheme | General Information.
There are over 4,500 Motability Dealers across the UK who provide cars and wheelchair accessible vehicles through the Motability scheme. Nearly all of the major car manufacturers have vehicles which are available and these include Ford Motability, Renault Cars on Motability and also Citroen, BMW, Audi, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Honda Civic, Land Rover, Nissian Duke, Peugeot, Saab and the majority of other car dealers.
How Motability Works?
If you are in receipt of the higher rate of DLA (Disability Living Allowance) or the War Pensions Suppliment (Mobility) then the money and entitlement that you receive can be turned into a brand new car - of your choice. Is it easier than you may think and the whole process is very simple.
Makes and models available
There is a huge selection of makes and models available on the scheme - in fact the vast majority of all the major car brands are available - from an Audi, BMW, Ford, Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot and many, many more.

- Each car has full RAC cover
- Annual tax disc is sent to you in the post, also included
- Tyre replacement - if you need a new tyre you simply visit your nearest wuick fit
- Windscreen replacement - also included repair and replace with Autoglass
- Over the three years you can drive a total of 60,000 miles
- If you need adaptions most of these are at no extra cost
- You do not need to be the driver and you can nominate two drivers
With the contract hire agreement which is what the vast majority (95%) of people opt for you have the Motability car of your choice with all the above benefits for a total of 3 years, at the end of the 3 years if you are still entitled to the DLA or War Pensions then you can simply renew your car for a brand new one.
